Aksonance has been named an Official Finalist at the 2026 InterContinental Music Awards, with the album The Breath of Silence selected in the Artist Directed AI Generative category.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Los Angeles, the InterContinental Music Awards celebrate music as a universal language that connects cultures, honouring artists from more than one hundred countries across every continent. The 2026 edition features dedicated AI Generative categories, recognising innovation in music creation while holding to the competition’s standard of artistic excellence.
For Aksonance, the recognition lands close to the heart of the project’s philosophy. The Breath of Silence was created according to a principle stated openly on every release: born from artificial intelligence, directed by human judgment. Music, voice and arrangements are generated with artificial intelligence, while the lyrics are a human and AI collaboration, with Riccardo Crosa registered as lyricist. The Artist Directed AI Generative category names precisely this way of working, where the tools are treated as a new instrument placed under human authorship and editorial control.
The Breath of Silence is the musical companion to MARILYN100, the centennial project built around one hundred cyberpaintings by visual artist Micheline Grisolame, reimagining Marilyn Monroe inside masterpieces of Western painting. Released in March 2026, the album exists as a digital release, on vinyl and CD, and as an art book. It sits alongside Songs for a Year I, the cycle of twelve monthly singles Aksonance is releasing across 2026.
The 2026 InterContinental Music Awards winners will be announced during the official Online Awards Ceremony on August 23, 2026.
