Following its release on Bandcamp and ahead of its global arrival on all major streaming platforms, Aksonance presents The Breath of Silence, a concept album conceived as the musical companion to MARILYN100, a multidisciplinary art project marking the centennial of Marilyn Monroe (June 1, 1926). With its signature fusion of art pop and cinematic atmosphere, the project delivers a listening experience built around image, memory, and the space between icon and person.
The Breath of Silence unfolds across ten tracks that trace a journey through five centuries of feminine portraiture. It begins with Ouverture, an instrumental opening that establishes the harmonic architecture of the entire album. Blonde Is a Language arrives as the first declaration: identity reduced to a single visible attribute. The Last Perfect Smile follows, examining the surface that everyone remembers and the effort that no one recorded.
At the centre of the album lies The Breath of Silence, the title track and emotional core: silence as memory, breath as reclamation. The album exhales with The Breath of Silence Theme, an instrumental coda that also serves as the ambient soundtrack of the MARILYN100 virtual museum.
