BearParade is a public art project that sends white fiberglass bear sculptures into the world, to be transformed by artists, exhibited in cities, and returned to communities through charity auctions.
Born in Biella, Italy, in 2010, as Orso di Biella – BEAR PARADE, where the bear has been the city’s heraldic symbol since 1344, BearParade has evolved into a European creative platform. In its current edition, 100 bears are being decorated by 100 street artists across the continent, creating a diffused open-air exhibition that connects cities, cultures, and communities through art.
Each bear begins as a blank canvas. Each artist leaves a signature. Each city becomes a stage.
The project generates four interconnected assets: a catalog book, a museum-style digital archive, a vinyl album produced with Aksonance, and the bears themselves, exhibited, collected, and auctioned for charitable causes.
