MARILYN100 — Micheline Grisolame

In Paris, a Franco-Italian artist takes notice. Between her Montmartre atelier and the streets of Turin, Micheline Grisolame begins a silent, solitary project: placing Marilyn Monroe inside one hundred masterpieces of Western painting, spanning from the Renaissance to the dawn of Modernity.

In 2019, she delivers a sealed hard drive to her publisher with a single instruction: “Ne pas ouvrir avant le 1er juin 2026.” On June 1, 2026, the centennial of Marilyn Monroe’s birth, the silence finally speaks.
